Cindy loves working with community foundations and has been active in the movement for more than 15 years. As the founding Executive Director of the Guelph Community Foundation, she enjoyed the ability to connect community knowledge to local leaders who want to create social change. Cindy builds on her experience in charitable and government sectors, working alongside community foundations as CFC’s Director of Member Services.
Cindy has been active volunteer for many organizations in her rural community over the years. She currently serves on the Board of Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis, a local organization that provides services to women and their children, and which works to end violence against them.
Cindy recharges with retreats to her family cottage on Lake Huron in summer and spends her time on the ski hills in winter. Playing the tenor drum in the Fergus Pipe Band feeds her musical side, and she spends the rest of her time travelling, cuddling with her grandson, and stepping in as a part-time tractor driver.
Cindy works closely to support Canada’s community foundation network and leads CFC’s international Vital Signs program.
