COVID 19 has exacerbated gender equality in Canada. Women are facing more job losses, doing more essential work and doing more work at home. Community Foundations can play a role, now more than ever, in closing the gender gap. In 2019 the Canadian Foundations of Canada and its partners launched The Gender Equality Fund, a national effort to deliver new
momentum for women’s movements in Canada. In the pilot phase more than 35 projects were funded with an innovative gender lens. Come engage with experts to learn about feminist grant making and the power of its impacts.
