Feedback from previous participants
“The experience at Wasan Island last year was transformative. You could not ask for a more iconic Canadian setting than a stunning island on Lake Rosseau in the Muskokas. If the scenery were not inspiring enough, my 20 new friends from across Canada provided rich encounters and provocative conversation. The “ice” was broken immediately on day one as we were led through creative exercises and activities that prompted big picture questions about the future of community philanthropy and the work that lies ahead.”
-Stuart Reid, Community Foundation Grey Bruce
The Rookie Retreat was wonderful. The experience helped me better understand the important and changing role of community foundations. It was a safe place to ask the little questions and explore the bigger ones with the Community Foundations of Canada staff and other participants — and I still do! Plus, Wasan Island was lovely and the food was fantastic!
